Foreclosure Prevention Services
What is “Foreclosure Prevention or Intervention”?
Buying a house is probably the most important financial investment
you will ever make. For this reason, it is very important that you
protect your investment by not defaulting on your loan which will
result in your bank taking back your house to settle your debt (called
“foreclosure.”)
If you find that you cannot make your monthly house payment, Fairbanks
Neighborhood Housing Services may be able to help you through foreclosure
prevention or intervention counseling. Foreclosure prevention (when
you are 30 to 60 days late on your payment) or intervention (when
foreclosure proceedings have begun) can help you avoid defaulting
on your loan and losing your home.
